Kitty: T.C., you are definitely no newbie to the Music industry. What was that moment when you made the decision to get into Marketing and Promotions as a career?

TC: After taking marketing in College & after attending courses with CBS marketing.

Kitty: What did you do to prepare for this job field?

TC: School alone can’t prepare you for the entertainment business.  Years of working from the street to the board room has prepared me for this business.  There is no other way to be educated in this game.

Kitty: Looking at how established you are now and where you started over 4 decades ago, did you ever doubt your abilities?

TC: No, because it was a love, not a job.

Kitty: You have spearheaded so many campaigns and helped launch the careers of some of the biggest names in musical history, including Michael Jackson, Natalie Cole, Luther Vandross, Sade, Keith Sweat, Heavy D… What was your driving motivation in working with these and the several other Icons on your resume?

TC: Their creativity is my driving force.  I love Artists with something to give. I love being one of the first to know how creative they are and bringing this to the attention of the world.

Kitty: You’ve been blessed to travel and work on some major record labels. Was it challenging transitioning between them or did the moves have their benefits?

TC: The benefit is the freedom but it has its handicaps, mostly funding but talent and drive can overcome this.

Kitty: Can you share with us your favorite Artists to have worked with?

TC: The Artists that I’ve enjoyed working with the most have to be Michael Jackson, Sade, Luther Vandross and Teddy Riley.
