Williams Oh, oh, oh! Whoo! I’m sorry but excuse me while I catch my breath. I’m sure you’ve seen the video. It’s been going crazy all over social media since right before the New Year; and I mean literally right on time. French Singer, Songwriter and Producer Mani Hoffman shared a video of himself covering Sam Cooke‘s song “A Change is Gonna Come”. Was I the only one who clutched my chest within 3 seconds of him starting to sing? Ok okay, maybe I need to get that checked out. But my ears work just fine and even the baby was blown away by the depth and emotion in Mani's powerful voice! Ooh Honey! His raw talent is amazing and I find it so beautiful that he included his baby in the making of this video. And did you see how this true performer did not even miss a beat

Love this Book Review? Comment Below and Share it! http://goo.gl/SoIfKp or http://TheINDIEgatorMag.com/?p=4543 Book Review by Kitty Y. Williams As an Editor by profession, occasionally I take on Special Projects that I feel will hopefully the world in some way. In early 2014, I was commissioned to edit and redesign a few projects for the owner of Inner Harmony Books, Cynthia Moore. Her first release came in the 1st quarter of that year entitled Soul Say Yes (about living your existence). I enjoyed that book because I am a Businesswoman and believe in independence and the freedom to live my purpose without boundaries. When it came time to edit the second edition of her 2006 book ABCs of Relationships: Emotional Survival Games, I ended up signing up for more than I had anticipated. And it was worth it. In both publications, the Author utilized stories from her own journey in life as well as the coping skills and training she gained as a Licensed Therapist to really break

  • L.A. Music Producer Kenny Dubb Celebrates New Milestones
    1 Comment

by Kitty Y. Williams I want to tell you a story. Once upon a time in a small military town somewhere in the state of Kansas, there was a girl named Kitty. She had three rambunctious little brothers who were always messing up her room, ripping the heads off her beloved Barbie dolls, or stealing the spotlight from her during community Piano recitals hosted by their mother, the Teacher. Though Kitty was sometimes amused as her little brother Kenny would interrupt her while performing Classical Beethoven music for the audiences, just so he could show them that he knew how to play the theme song from the movie “Jaws”, she never imagined that one day he would turn that goofy passion into a serious career. After all, she was supposed to be the “Star”.... Over the past decade our roles have changed and I’ve spent a lot of time promoting hundreds of Musicians, Entertainers and Entrepreneurs through my different media projects. To be quite honest with you, none of it would have

  • An Intimate Interview with Karma
    1 Comment

By Kitty Y. Williams The first time I met the lovely Karma aka The Diva of Hip Hop Blues, I was sitting off to myself observing the scene at the 2012 RedZone Ultimate Music Fest and Awards put on by Fiyaworks Entertainment and friends. There to accept an award along with several other movers and shakers in the independent music scene here in Houston, I remember this very pretty slender lady in pink who came and sat next to me, striking up a conversation out of the blue. I can’t recall everything we discussed but remembered her having a very humble presence and beauty that stood out in the crowded room. Karma was performing that night and unfortunately I ended up missing it due to additional obligations that evening. Upon later discovering that she was the Headliner at Cole’s of Houston for a Valentine’s Day event the following year, my sweetheart and I made a point to go see her LIVE. It’s always refreshing to see a beautiful woman holding it down across multiple genres

  • Issue #5: The Editor’s Closing Thoughts
    No Comment

Hello Readers and Friends, I decided to share some of my personal reflections regarding a few things I’ve learned and insights I’ve gained from the People and Stories featured in this Fifth issue of  The INDIEgator magazine. One of the biggest things I’ve learned over years of interviewing aspiring Entertainers or Entrepreneurs on my shows or in my publications is to only deal with people who are truly serious about what they do and are aligned with their souls and true purpose in life. That is something Ms. Cynthia’s book Soul Say Yes reminded me of; don’t forget to get your copy (more info). Too many folks go after their dreams unprepared for all of the work, research and sacrifices that come with it and then just give up. From both Ms. Cynthia and the young teenagers Chloe and Halle, I accepted that age is no  barrier or hindrance from going after what your heart may desire at any stage in life. Every day truly is a new opportunity to go for it! Caneil (Chill) has

Williams One of the most Profoundly Powerful Voices I have ever come across on YouTube is that of Amanda Cole. Her “Pretty Hurts” (Beyonce) cover came onto my radar and immediately I found myself rushing to find more of her videos. Ms. Cole is certainly No Amateur. Her Professionalism is very evident while watching her work and hit every intended note with pure precision. Just as a side note, she was even a member of the R&B group En Vogue for a few years. This is a Gifted Queen right here. I await her Single Be That, the EP Fairytale and an interview with The INDIEgator. I too want to learn more about the journey of this Extraordinary Singer, Writer and Actress. Editor's YouTube Picks (April/June 2014)
