Williams Monica Matthews, a Spoken Word Artist and Motivational Speaker, first waltzed onto our radar in April 2012 at Lyrics Poetry Lounge in Houston, TX. Hosted by Poet AJ McQueen and Comedian/Musician Mic Tunez, the night was definitely one to remember, especially for us first timers. The Indiegator was initially there just to support Chicago Spiritual Poet "Chill" who traveled down south to perform at the venue and feature in our April/June issue. But as the night went on, as every new Poet stepped on the stage to share their pieces amidst candlelit tables, live piano playing, and free gourmet food, we couldn't help but stick around a while longer and bask in the atmosphere of peace, love and creativity. Williams II, the Texas native began making beats in 1998. Williams joined the U.S. Air Force in 2003 and was sent to Pisa, Italy. By late 2005, Kenny formed a working relationship with multi-platinum engineer Irko of Studiobeat2. She was the 1st place winner of the Jazzy Red Birthday Bash Showcase on June 6th 2008 at Club 3PG in Houston,TX and the interview was part of her prize package. Four years later, T-Lady still has a lot going on and updated The INDIEgator on all the happenings: T-Lady, CEO of Breakin Groundz Ent. and Grindin Bulliez, was recently awarded the 2012 Young Grinding Innovator of the Year at The 2012 Red Zone Ultimate Music Fest and Honors Award Ceremony.
